The Haunted Mansion in Walt Disney World will be closing down November 28 2016 through December 1 2016. As of right now they are currently working on the outside of the ride and the inside of the ride is still running.

The Haunted Mansion Holiday has now arrived at the Disneyland Resort. With the arrival of the layover comes a new gingerbread house and a new character. Sally has now arrived in the graveyard scene and as the gingerbread house. In past years of the layover Sally has only been featured in the hallway to Doombuggies as one of the portraits and at the very end as the guests are leaving the ride telling Sandy Claws to hurry back.
The Film Censorship board in Malaysia are not happy with the "gay scene" where two of the male characters are dancing in a ballroom. The film board claims that the scene will promote homosexuality.
Disney is standing their ground and telling the film board in Malaysia that they will not be cutting the scene because the scene is only three seconds long. The chairman Abdul Halim Adbul Hamid "It is in our guidelines that we don’t allow L.G.B.T. activity in movies in Malaysia, They are the ones not allowing the movie to be shown. We approved it with a minor cut.” The chairman says that if Disney had only cut the three second scene they would have given the movie a PG-13 rating.
