Review: Brave

Saw Brave Tuesday of this week. I wasn't excited at all about seeing this movie because I have had this movie shoved down my throat every time that I turned around. Kept hearing about how Merida was the first female lead in a Pixar movie lead. It was a interesting movie but I feel like the premise has been done so many times before in movies like Freaky Friday. It was the same premise as Freaky Friday where as the daughter and mother don't get along and they both say that the other doesn't understand them. There is always a spell that happens and they always switch lives with each other or in the case of Brave the mom turns into the bear that had eaten her father's leg when she was little. The animation on the other hand was amazing. I did notice that one of the clan's leader name is Lord McIntosih in honor of Steve Jobs who had bought shares of Pixar and also the biggest supporter of Pixar. At the end credits in they have a little "In Memory Of" for S

Carsland and Buena Vista grand opening.

So today is the grand re-opening of Disney's California Adventure to celebrate Carsland and Buena Vista street. I wasn't able to make it there today but I hope that everyone that has gone today to see the new areas truly enjoy it. I was at Disneyland on Wednesday and all of the employees were truly excited for the grand opening of Carsland and kept giving me and my sister tips of things to do. Tip #1: Check out Sally's Cozy Cone Motel Tip #2: Go to Flo's Tip #3: In the original movie Fillmore and Sarge are staring at the blinking yellow stop light and Fillmore goes "I'm tellin' you, man, every third blink is slower" then Sarge goes "The '60s weren't good to you, were they?" Well I got a tip from a cast member saying that the imagineers made the third blink slower. On Buena Vista Street there will be a Starbucks located, I believe, where the old train use to be on the right hand side when you enter the park.

Disney bans junk food on channel

First Lady Michelle Obama and Walt Disney Company Chairman and CEO Robert Iger annoyed that starting in 2015 Disney will ban junk-food advertising on the television channel and also their radio programs. When they do feature food products, according to the regulations, the products will have to meet the nutritional guidelines. So that means the cartoon characters and also those live actors will not be allowed to be seen eating junk food because it would be giving those that watch the shows the wrong thought about food. By the time 2012 is over any kind of food product that will be sold in the parks and resorts will have the Mickey Check seal of approval which means that the food that are in the resorts and parks have passed the nutrition standards.
